We began by practicing a combination of omote shuto (表手刀) from ichmonji no Kamae (一文字の構え) against jodan tsuki (上段突) and the Hichō no kamae (飛鳥の 構え) with chūdan uke (中段受) against chūdan tsuki (中段突) and against zenpō Keri (前方蹴り).
We then practised Jūmonji no Kata (十文字の型) from the Kihon Happō Gata (基本八法型) with an emphasis on low whole movement and timing.
We also looked at henka (変化) on Jūmonji no Kata, first striking higher to kimon (鬼門) and also using Shuki Ken (手起拳) at close range.
Good work from everyone present, well done.
