
We began by revising Jūmonji no Kata (十文字の型) from the Kihon Happō Gata (基本八法型), with an emphasis on low whole-body movement and timing. We then worked with a henka (変化), where you begin with soto uke (受外), move inside by attacking Jakkin (弱筋) from underneath and then strike down into Butsumetsu (仏滅) with Boshi Ken (拇指拳) / Shitō Ken (指刀拳).
