We worked with the 'Kurai Dori' (位取) kamae to control the opponent and the space around you.
We looked at the angles of movement of 'Seigan no Kamae' (正眼之構) and efficient spinal rotation movement of 'Bōbi no Kamae' (防備之構), both from the Kotō-ryū (虎倒流).
We then worked with the 'Sen no Sen' (先の先 - to seize the initiative by attacking the attack) principle as seen in the techniques - 'Yuigyaku' (唯逆) and 'Ransho' (乱勝) of 高 Takagi Yoshin-ryū (木揚心流).
We also worked with 'Oikake Dori' (追掛捕) and examined the unique 'Osaekomi, Ude-ori' (押え込み、腕折り - restraining arm break).
