First we examined the correct distance for the attack and how suigetsu would be the closest target.
We looked at entering the opponent's attack to take the opponent into extension, then finding a pivot to of off-balance then without resorting to strength.
Also continuing the opponents momentum to take them into flexion again finding a pivot point to steal their balance.
We also looked at how some attacks pull and others push. We found angles and strategies to negate these actions.
Also, how to engage the opponent's front leg when doing ura and omote gyaku and lock their upper body over it, so that the lock / rotations on the wrist are more effective.
Also, how and why the techniques in Chudan are applied utilising kyojitsu and alternating directions of movement to create effective angles of counter attack.
We then look at how we can move to fit in, neutralise and unbalance the attack, while effortlessly taking our counter-attack.
Thank to to Bruno Vicaire for organising and also to everyone who attended for their great work and enthusiasm.
